Choose an evolve workflow
This guide helps you choose the right creation or proposal workflow.
Use Create Reference Library when¶
Choose Create Reference Library if you need to:
- create new ontology content or reference terms
- add classes, properties, annotation properties, or SHACL shapes
- work in a library or ontology context rather than a highly specialized product flow
Use CFIHOS Extensions when¶
Choose CFIHOS Extensions if you need to:
- extend CFIHOS for your project or organizational needs
- add entities, properties, picklists, dimensions, or units of measure in a CFIHOS-aligned way
Use IMF Types when¶
Choose IMF Types if you need to:
- create reusable IMF attributes, blocks, or terminals
- build reusable digital twin or asset-information structures
Use Digital Symbol Editor when¶
Choose Digital Symbol Editor if you need to:
- propose new engineering symbols
- upload geometry-based SVGs
- provide metadata and interaction-related details such as connection points or center of rotation
General workflow¶
- Identify the type of content you need.
- Confirm whether PCA already has something you can reuse.
- Choose the specific evolve workflow.
- Prepare the mandatory information before you start filling in the form or calling the API.
